For quite a long time I struggled to shift the weight around my waistline, which clung on my body like an ivy clinging about an oak. Suffice to say, I wasn’t successful on this exercise.
Any woman who has had children will understand what I mean. Yes, I have children.Two of them.I wasn’t successful in getting a flat tummy after my first one and by the time I had my second child, my tummy was visibly bigger.
I tried different diets but the fat around my waistline didn’t bulge.
Resigning into the whole thing, I decided that I am going to forget about diets and instead concentrate on eating healthily (plenty of fruits and vegetables), eat less junk food at the same time keeping an eye on my food portions.
I also started doing some simple physical exercises as shown above.
The weight I have been struggling hard to get rid of, melted away like a tub of butter which had been left outside on the sunshine.
That’s when I realised that loosing weight around your tummy can only be achieved by eating a healthy diet and doing fat burning exercises that will target your entire body.
This can be easily explained as follows;
For most of us the waist is the first place where weight starts to appear when we put on weight.
The fact is, if you eat more than what your body needs, the remainder will be stored as fat to the nearest area of the body which is around your waistline. Also by overeating, your stomach wall expands and if this is done on regular basis it will grow bigger and bigger in appearance.
So by eating smaller portions, the stomach maintains its size or on some occasions shrink a little bit.
Eating less with some fat burning exercises will also tone your tummy and make it look smaller in appearance. It’s this combination which is the key!
How easier than this can it be? Do we still need to waste time in fad diets? Maybe not.
