Lower back pain among golfers can be caused by many factors, but these are the two main culprits:

– Limited hip mobility when doing internal rotation.

This is when the thigh bone is rotated into the hip socket. If your hips are stiff during internal rotation, your lower back will be strained, as the body tries to compensate for this particular lack of mobility.

– Poor trunk control and core weakness

While doing the rotational golf swings, core weakness causes an increased strain into the joints within the lower back.
